ASHA SLPA Certification
As of 2020, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) began offering an optional certification for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants for a $125 annual fee. This nationally recognized professional credential signifies a demonstrated level of competency and commitment that the C-SLPA wishes to practice at the top of their license. Given that Vermont does not currently have statewide licensure or certification requirements for SLPAs, this credential provides an additional pathway for demonstrating professional competence and accountability to employers.
