In 2018, Vermont passed Act 173, “an act related to enhancing the effectiveness, availability and equity of services provided to students who require additional support” (VT AoE website). You can access information about the implementation of Act 173 on Vermont’s Agency of Education website.

In July 2013, the Vermont Speech-Language Hearing Association (VSHA) submitted an Application for Preliminary Review on Speech-Language Pathology Assistants to the Vermont Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) proposing to regulate Speech Language Pathologist’s Assistants in Vermont.  Click here for the SLPA regulation fact sheet.
